Focused Not Frustrated

I spend most of my days working inside my home studio.

I’m either working on filling Etsy orders, creating new products for my shop, or working inside Maker’s Business Coaching to create new courses and videos to make sure you know how to make the most of Etsy.

Today, however, I decided to head to my local café much needed change of scenery.

The parking lot here fits 9, but because of insane amounts of snow we’ve had these past few weeks, a large pile of snow claimed one of those precious parking spots.

That left 8 spots.

I pulled into the parking lot to see those 8 spots were full, but only 7 cars were parked.

That’s right, there was one SUPER fancy person who needed to use 2 spots for her car.

So, what did I do?

I waited…until someone decided to leave the coffee shop and give up their coveted parking space!

To my delight, the woman who took up twice her allotted number of spots was the one to leave the café.

That meant I was able to pull my minivan into whichever of those 2 spots I thought was best.

They seemed to both be really high-quality spots, so I just picked the closest one, pulled my mom-van in, and went ahead with my out-of-the-studio work day.

What does this have to do with selling on Etsy?

Nothing. But if I chose to let it, this one thing could’ve ruined my mood and gotten my work day off to a rough start.

But, I decided it just wasn’t worth the frustration, and I moved on.

If you’re feeling frustrated with a lack of sales, or low views, or because someone bought that last donut you were eyeing up, don’t let it ruin your day.

Move on, keep your head up, and focus on the things that will help move the needle in your business.

Stay focused on the things that really matter, and let the rest go. There’s no time to get stuck in negativity!
